My primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day activities of the CMS COT
machine shop. This includes managing several staff members who are responsible for
designing, assembling, and constructing a wide variety of marine science equipment, with
a high degree of precision and accuracy.
I work closely with students, faculty, and staff to assess their needs in regards to
experiments and projects. I also work with our associates FIO, USGS, FWC and assess
their needs as well.
I am also responsible for establishing relationships with outside organizations in the
public and private sectors to promulgate interdisciplinary research or joint venture
initiatives.
