FELLOWSHIPS
U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY COOPERATIVE ASSISTANTSHIPS
Three USGS/USF Cooperative Assistantships are available on a rotating basis. The $20,000 assistantships are typically awarded for a period of two years for the Master's degree and three years for the Ph.D. degree. These awards are designed to foster cooperative research between USGS and the USF College of Marine Science. Preference is given to projects that interface with research currently being conducted at the USGS Center for Coastal Geology and Regional Marine Studies in St. Petersburg. These projects often include research in all marine science disciplines. The in-state portion tuition is also paid from the USF/USGS Cooperative Agreement.
Interested students should contact Dr. Van Vleet directly (vanvleet@marine.usf.edu).
