Professional Development Workshops
E & O offers professional development workshops for K-12 teachers and other educators. The professional development series offered varies each year. Most training takes place at the Clam Bayou Marine Science Center. Examples of PD series include:
Secrets of the Sea Series
USGS Earth and Environmental Sciences Series
NOAA Ocean Explorers Series
GLOBE Environmental Science Series
The workshops are especially designed for in-service K-12 teachers but available to all educators, through our InTOW program.
OCEANS Lesson Plans
We are in the process of creating a wonderful bank of effective and meaningful lesson plans, which will become available online very soon. These lesson plans have been created or modified by the graduate students at our college who have been GK-12 OCEANS Fellows.
