Brittany is a master’s student interested in the feeding ecology of marine fishes.  Her research concentrates on the diet of recreationally and commercially important fishes to further understand the dynamics of marine ecosystems.   Her future work will concentrate on prey abundance and predator-prey relationships across different spatial and temporal scales.

Brittany is a native Floridian and has been involved in marine science activities throughout her life.  She has worked as an instructor in the Florida Aquarium Education Department, completed 500+ hours rescuing cold stunned turtles with Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and has volunteered with Tampa Bay Watch restoring salt marsh grasses. Currently, she works as a fisheries biologist at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in the Fisheries-Independent Monitoring Program.  After graduation, Brittany would like to continue her research in fisheries management.
