I am interested in the effects of ocean acidification on predator-prey relationships. Using an ecologically-important bivalve and a molluscivorous fish as model species, I will be conducting a series of experiments to examine the effects of OA and predator presence on the morphology, gene expression, behavior and survival of prey. I hope that my results will aid in educating the public on the interactive effects of OA on coastal communities and the broader implications of this anthropogenic change.

Throughout my career I have been in different research and education programs across the US in Puerto Rico, Washington, Alabama, Maine and Maryland. I have a strong interest in education, and, after graduating, I aim to continue my career as a marine science professor.
