FieldLog

FieldLog

Field log is a program written for making continuous or interval recordings in the field.  Buttons are large so that they are easy to see in field situations.  Comments can be directly entered into three comment fields.  Data are saved in 32-bit floating point files containing 10 seconds of data. A companion text file is written with date, time, and note fields.  File names are automatically generated using the date and time of the computer.

Hardware:  FieldLog uses the TDT RP2 Real-Time Processor, RA16, RL2, or RX6 connected to a PC through the USB port (it is not configured to use the gigabit interface).  Field log will record on up to four channels simultaneously at 6kHz, 12 kHz, 25 kHz, 50 kHz, or 100 kHz.  Note that the maximum bandwidth of data transfer over the USB cable is about 100 kHz aggregate.

Software setup:  FieldLog should be installed in the c:\FieldLog directory.  Data will be saved to c:\FieldLog\Data.  FieldLog requires the fieldlog.rco file to run (this file must be in c:\FieldLog).  This file may be modified to customize real-time processing of signals prior to saving.

QLOGGER: MATLAB program to analyze *.16, *.f32, *.wav files

TSDate: Program to strip time stamps (# seconds from January 1, 1970) from files and save to a .csv file.
