Logistics

Meeting venue: Student Union Building, Ballroom. The FGCU campus map has driving directions.

Parking Information: As soon as you enter the Main Entrance (to the south, there's a light at this entrance and a FGCU sign), there's a guard booth. Tell them you are attending the Florida COOS Meeting and they will give you a parking permit and directions on where to park (most likely the parking garage next to the student union).

Lunch will not be provided, but there are places to eat on campus.

Hotel information:
If you wish to stay the night before or after, they have a special offer for up to 7 people (who have cars): there are 7 apartments available for visiting scientists at the Bonita Springs Field Station. It's about 13 miles (25 min drive) from the campus, but well worth the view and location. It abuts mangroves and the bay and the Gulf of Mexico is across the road. The address is 5164 Bonita Beach Rd, Bonita Springs. The rate is $75/night. These are all 1 bed room apartments.Please send Jyotika Virmani an email if interested.

For those of you who would like to stay closer to campus, the Courtyard by Marriott in Fort Myers offers a Florida Gulf Coast University rate of $109 (plus tax)/night. The phone number is (239) 332-4747. The address is 10050 Gulf Center Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913. The website has directions. When you call, ask for the FGCU rate.
