Expedition Communications:

MVS, Inc. (http://www.mvsusa.com), an Internet Service Provider, has provided satellite communications for the IceStory2000 expedition as wel as the 1998-1999 expedition. Through its representative in Ellsworth, Maine, Quest Telecom International (http://www.questele.com), MVS donated the use of Mobilfone M and B satellite telephone systems for the 1998-2000 expeditions. Transmission of IceStory2001 expedition logs will be through a shipboard Inmarsat-B system on the U.S. polar research vessel the Nathanial B. Palmer.
