Project Oceanography Position:  Camera Operator

Where do you work:
University of South Florida, College of Marine Science

What do you do at Project Oceanography?
I am responsible for operating the studio audience camera and supporting the staff in pre-production and post-production activities. I also assist with preparing the studio for the show by arranging props and scientific equipment.

Education:
I received my degree in Television Production Operations from Pinellas Technical Education Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

What do you find most interesting about your job?
I am very excited about being involved with such a diverse and important program as Project Oceanography. The most interesting part of my job is operating the camera during the live on-air productions. I am always on the move and on my toes. Doing a live production is like playing baseball; you always have to keep your eyes on the ball!
