Welcome to the Academic Affairs office at the College of Marine Science. We're very pleased that you are considering to apply to our program. We believe we have an outstanding graduate program that can help you achieve your academic and professional goals. A career in marine science demands specialized training beyond the baccalaureate degree. The College of Marine Science at the University of South Florida offers the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. We offer concentrations in five areas of specialization at the graduate level:
- Biological Oceanography,
- Chemical Oceanography,
- Geological Oceanography,
- Physical Oceanography, and
- Marine Resource Assessment (program starting Fall 2009).
In addition to these traditional research
areas, increasing numbers of interdisciplinary specialties are also
developing. You may visit the Research section of our web site to learn more about each of these concentrations.
