Research Assistant & Doctoral Student
Chemical Oceanography
Fellowships & Grants:
Education:
B.S. Marine Science (Geology Focus), Eckerd College, Saint Petersburg, Florida
Research Interests:Patrick’s research is determining the effects of anthropogenic and climatological effects on coastal and near-shore environments using sedimentological evidence including radionuclides as well as biological and chemical indicators. Primary study sites include Emerson Point on Snead Island, south of Tampa Bay, as well as many watersheds on St. John, US Virgin Islands including Great Lameshur Bay surrounding the Virgin Islands Environmental Research Station (VIERS).
Research Topics: coastal evolution, anthropogenic and regional climatological effects on near-shore and coastal environments, biogeochemical proxies
Advisors:
Ashanti Pyrtle, PhD
