Jennifer Dupont
Degree Sought: Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography
Dissertation Topic:
Effects of the 2005 red tide on epibenthic macroinvertebrate and fish communities in the eastern Gulf of Mexico: Could artificial reefs be effective mitigation tools?
Research Interests:
I am interested in exploring the efficacy of using artificial reef modules to mitigate future red tide events. I am developing recruitment/recovery models to track successional stages on current artificial reefs versus natural reef ledges along the West Florida Shelf.
