Dr. Luis Garcia-Rubio is the director of the SAPD research group, which stands for Spectral Acquisition, Processing and Detection.
We are located at the College of Marine Science at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Fl. We are associated with the Engineering Research Center on Particle Science and Technology (ERC) located at the University of Florida. The ERC is funded by The National Science Foundation (NSF). Our group is also a member of The Measurement and Control Engineering Center (MCEC).
Our group is comprised of Engineers, Chemists, Biologists, and Physicists. Together we aim to unite these disciplines to better research and develop methods for synthetic and biological particle characterization.
