The USF St. Petersburg Campus is situated on the water near the downtown area of the city of St. Petersburg. The city is part of Pinellas county. The area hosts a wide range of activities from top rated beaches, parks, sporting events and festivals. The Weather and Temperature

Also known as the "Sunshine City", St. Petersburg holds a Guinness World Record for logging the most consecutive days of sunshine - a stretch lasting 768 days that began in 1967.

Averages temperature highs range from 69-90 degrees Fahrenheit, and lows range from 54-77 degrees Fahrenheit annually. Visit the Weather page of the visitors site for the daily weather report.

Housing

All of our graduate students live off campus in nearby apartments or homes. If you need assistance to find housing in the area, please contact the Academic Services Advisor at marinescience@usf.edu.

 

Transportation

Despite the nearby proximity between our campus and the downtown area, our current students suggest to have access to a car while you are here if possible. Although it is not necessary, having a car will open up many new opportunities for you while you are staying here.
