Katie J. Rathmell

I received my Bachelor degree in Biology from USF, Tampa and I am currently working on a Masters degree at the College of Marine Science. I will be studying zooplankton processes in the Gulf of Mexico. At FWRI, I worked as an assistant in the invertebrate specimen collection, mainly with identification of gastropods common to the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. I now work on the Southeastern Area Monitoring and Assessment Program (SEAMAP), a State/Federal/University program for the collection, management and dissemination of fishery-independent data in the Gulf of Mexico. I am a scientific diver and have participated in a research cruise on the R/V Bellows and I am looking forward to more time at sea.
