Research Interests: Systematics and biology of extant dinoflagellates, particularly harmful species and their adaptations

Current Activity: I am currently completing a “Guide to the Harmful Algae of the Gulf of Mexico” with my colleagues’ help. The guide is the final product of an Environmental Protection Agency grant and will be available as a free, downloadable document. I am also writing systematic reviews of several HAB genera and preparing teaching materials for HAB identification workshops.
