Travel Logistics
We are looking forward to your presence at the NSTC SOST Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Principal Investigator (PI) Conference. The conference will be hosted by the University of South Florida, at the Sirata Resort and Conference Center in St. Petersburg, FL, on October 25-26, 2011.

The conference hotel rate is $92 (not including taxes). Reservations for the Sirata Resort must be made by calling 1-800-344-5999. Please mention the group code "College of Marine Science". To receive the conference hotel rate and concessions, reservations must be made by Oct 14. A block of 125 rooms has been reserved for October 24th and 25th; a smaller block of 60 rooms is available for October 26th.
We regret that we are unable to support travel, food and lodging costs for this workshop. Note, however, that your reservation includes continental breakfast and a buffet lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Parking and resort fees have been waived at this venue.
Transportation
The St. Petersburg/Clearwater area is served by two international airports: Tampa International Airport (TPA) and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). The Resort is located about 23 miles from the TPA airport and 18 miles from the PIE airport. The cost for a taxicab from the TPA airport to the resort is around $65 (one way). Super shuttle is available from both airports (around $25 one way, www.supershuttle.com).
Amtrak offers service into St. Petersburg – Clearwater station, FL (STP), which is located about 15 miles from the resort.

Vicinity
The resort is located about 6 miles from John’s Pass Village, and within 10 miles of downtown St Petersburg and the Salvador Dalí Museum. The cost for a taxicab to/from Downtown St. Petersburg is around $30.
