Spring 2024 Undergraduate Student Internship Opportunity

WHAT: We’re offering TWO paid semester-long internships at the Center for Ocean Mapping and Innovative Technologies.

Successful applicants can expect to learn new scientific, communications, technical, and outreach skills.

We will also focus some time on professional development (e.g. interviewing, giving presentations, resume building).  

WHO: Applicants at the Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level from any Department, College, or background are strongly encouraged to apply. Our internship projects will range from graphic design/science communication to marine technology and engineering.

To be eligible, you must be a full-time USF Undergraduate student and willing to enroll in Independent Student Credit for the Spring 2024 semester.

Pay will be offered at $18/hr with a 15-20 hr commitment expected per week.

Most work will occur at the College of Marine Science on the USF St. Petersburg campus with some virtual meetings and independent work.

WHEN: Applications are due December 13th at 5pm Eastern.

Individuals selected for an interview will be notified by Friday, December 15th with interviews expected to occur the week of December 18th. Exceptions may be made, within reason, for the interview dates to accommodate the winter break.

Internship positions will start the week of January 15th, pending the application and interview timeline.
